Government continues to be sensitive to haulage costs

The recent budget once again saw the chancellor backing away from previous announced increases in fuel duty. Not for the first time, the treasury has observed that adding above inflation tax increases in fuel is likely to hurt both the UK consumer and business.

A recent survey showed that fuel consumption in the UK has fallen quite considerably since 2008, as increased costs have resulted in decreased use and therefore a negative impact on the economy.

Supplychain21 continues to use its network of back haul providers to resist any price increases and keep costs down for customers. If you would like us to help use our network to reduce your haulage costs, please contact us at mail@supplychain21.com or on 01858 451781
