Longer Trailers Trial

Currently there is a vehicle trial which allows freight operators to use longer vehicles to move goods in the UK,  enabling vehicles to move more goods more efficiently and help improve the impact on the environment. Over ten years it is expected so save over 3000 tonnes of CO2.

There are 1400 longer semi-trailers either still under construction or already being used on UK roads for the trial. There is still an opportunity for freight operators to bid for the remaining 400 allocations available, which will close at the end of the month.
