Road Movements to EU increase in H1 2013

The latest Logistics Survey shows that UK road exports to the EU both on accompanied and unaccompanied trailers increased by 5% in the 12 months to June 2013 against the levels seen  a year earlier. This reverses the trend in 2012 and provides evidence of the UK recovery and suggest that the impact of the recession in the EUR area on UK exporters is easing. However, even with this positive development, movements are still 13% lower than the peak in 2007.

Supplychain21 customers were busier than ever in these 12 months, with a significant increase in the number of loads we moved.

Supplychain21 continues to use its network of back haul providers to resist any price increases and keep costs down for customers. If you would like us to help use our network to reduce your haulage costs, please contact us at mail@supplychain21.com or on 01858 451781
